Taney Hamill currently serves as a Principal with HCGA focusing on search execution, business development and client relationship management. She brings strong experience in the nonprofit sector both as a former executive and in executive search. Her search practice advancing executive search and transition’s using best practices with an expertise in supporting client engagements and serving as an advisor on complex search and leadership projects. Taney has a rich history as a strategist with exceptional expertise in creating and leveraging relationships. She finds solutions that result in growth and significant contributions to her clients. Taney is a passionate collaborator with a national reputation for helping her clients and organizations understand trends, and the current leadership qualities required for executives and board members serving in corporations, associations, community organizations and foundations across the country. She uses strategic methods and techniques for sourcing and screening candidates, builds diverse candidate pools that are responsive to the talent and skills the client organization seeks and facilitating a process that aligns with the client organizations priorities, values, and culture.
Ms. Hamill was Executive Vice President of the Visiting Nurse Association of American (VNAA). In this role she was responsible for operations of the organization including strategic relationships, finances and communications, marketing, meetings and educations. Prior to VNAA she was a Vice President at Chandler Group Executive Search. She co-founded Silopanna Healthcare Consulting where she assisted clients with a full continuum of services including developing and implementing public healthcare programs, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness and business development initiatives. Previously, she served as the CEO for the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation, a non-profit established to help senior executive women improve their business and continue to grow professionally. She also has served as Vice President of Corporate Development at America’s Health Insurance Plans and as Senior Vice President of Membership and Business Development at the Health Insurance Association of America. She also worked for a national healthcare accrediting organization and national associations servicing the home base care market place.

Residing in Annapolis, MD, Taney has served on boards of Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Healthcare Industry Foundation, Washington Adventist Hospital Foundation, Professional Patient Advocacy Institute Advisory Board, Case Management Society of American Foundation Board, and the National Coalition for Quality Colorectal Cancer Screening & Care Advisory Board and the City of Annapolis Advisory Board of Recreation & Parks.
Taney graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science
